Tio Klarus (ティオ・クラルス, Tio Kurarusu?) is one of the main female protagonists from the Arifureta: From Commonplace to World's Strongest series.
Tio is the princess of the exiled dragonmen and later becomes one of Hajime's companions. She becomes a pervert and masochist after her first encounter with Hajime while being brainwashed into attacking him.
Appearance[]
Tio's appearance is that of a beautiful, voluptuous woman in her 20's and is over 170 cm tall. She possesses long jet black hair and golden eyes. Her dragon form is 7 meters long with golden eyes and has jet black scales.
She wears a set of black traditional Dragonmen robes that are similar to a Japanese kimono with unique floral designs along the bottom, and a pink undershirt similar to a hadajuban. She also wears a red Japanese-styled hairpin and piercings on the top of her hair, as well as worn oiran's sandals.

Tio is initially strong-willed, kind, and wise. After her first encounter with Hajime Nagumo, Tio becomes a pervert and a masochist who is loyal to him due to being bested by him in combat and for awakening this new sensation for her. Her perversion only grows as the series goes on, like when after she spoon-fed Hajime she licked around the used spoon.
Tio eventually realizes that she loves Hajime as more than just a master. When Hajime was injured by Freid Bagwa (an Ancient Magic user within the demon race), she protected him before confessing her love for him and later almost killing Freid leaving scars of her wrath on him. Though at times she is a perverted woman, she is also sharp and gives useful advice when needed. She is extremely loyal to her comrades, and would be more than willing to lay down her life for them. Tio is blunt and prefers to get straight to the point whenever speaking with others. This is not her intention to be rude but however due to her honest nature.
Despite her perverted nature, Tio is shown to have a reasonable amount of embarrassment at times. She is especially ashamed that her newly awakened fetishes has dishonored the reputation of the dragonmen as a race of noble beings. As well, Tio possesses the greatest mental strength among all of Hajime's wives and even Hajime himself. She is very strict with herself, never making any excuses or denying any failures on her part and will accept any punishment for her wrongdoings. This allowed her to overcome all the mental challenges she had faced in the Labyrinths with ease.
Due to her loyalty towards her master Hajime Nagumo, Tio is immensely disrespectful towards other men and belittled them when they've tried to flirt with her or insult her "master" in any ways as she is disgusted those men that are not her types such as Kouki Amanogawa. Aside from Kouki, Tio also hates Daisuke Hiyama and look down on him because she heard all of the stories from her "master" and Kaori as well she made sure to keep Hiyama away from Kaori shown she saved her from her temporarily death including the part that she holds no qualms when she watched on pitilessly as Hajime brutally thrashed and feed Hiyama to the monsters.
During the final trail of the Frost Cavern of Schnee, it is revealed that Tio has a strong hatred for Ehit and the Holy Church as she wanted revenge upon them. Despite her people's noble intentions to protect all the races of Tortus and maintain themselves as noble beings, it was all ruined when the Holy Church declared Dragonmen as "heretics". This lead to the destruction of her village by the very people they swore to protect and even the death of her parents. While Tio does her best to keep these feelings in check, they do influence some of her choices, as the reason why she decided to join Hajime was because she though she could use him to fight the false gods to suit her vengeance upon the so-called "gods" and the Holy Church to avenge her parents and people. Under the order of Hajime of destroying the Holy Church temple, Tio is highly pleasured to extended her revenge to the Holy Church by destroying the temple which purposely killed the pope and his bishops for their interference.
After the destruction of the Dragonmen kingdom as well as the deaths of her parents, Tio inherited her father's will and mission of defeating the pseudo gods. She trained herself to the point of surpassing her grandfather, who was known as the strongest Dragonmen in her village. It is because of her mission that she swore to never take a spouse that was weaker than herself and why she wanted to investigate the otherworld summoning as she had hoped that it could lead to the false gods' deaths. She is grateful to Hajime for offering to fight the so-called "gods" on her behalf but wished for him to fulfill the prior promises he made. After Hajime said he would make a new promise with her should she need to return to Tortus to fight, she expressed her deep gratitude and became shy as she was very grateful that he treasures and cares for her that much. She also shown in joy when Hajime killed Ehit fulfilling her vengeance.
History[]
Tio originally came from the Klarus dragonmen tribe. As a child, Tio grew up in an era where beings of all races could coexist in peace. Unfortunately, Tio's race was betrayed by the followers of the god Ehit and began to wage war on the dragonmen after being labelled as enemies of god. Tio wished to fight after witnessing many of her people dying in battle, but her father Kharga stopped her after retreating from the battlefield with severe injuries. After seeing many of her people crucified (including her mother), Tio became consumed with rage and desired vengeance, but Kharga brought her back to her senses after reminding her that dragonmen were protectors. He explained that the true enemies were the gods of Tortus and that they must prepare for the day when they will be defeated. He ordered her to escape with the survivors unnoticed so that the world would believe that the dragonmen will have perished, while he stayed behind and would sacrifice himself. Kharga managed to buy enough time for Tio and her attendant Venri Colt to escape.
Tio and the surviving dragonmen, including her grandfather, escaped into isolation and lived on a hidden island for centuries. During that time, Tio trained immensely everyday until she reached a point that she had surpassed even her grandfather in strength. She was approached by many young suiters during her youth, but turned them all down due to only wishing to be married to someone that could defeat her in combat, which none of them were able to achieve.
When her people sensed the arrival of humanity's heroes that were summoned from Earth, Tio volunteered to venture into the outside world to determine how powerful they were. The long journey left her tired and she slept for a whole day. That led her to become susceptible to brainwashing by Yukitoshi Shimizu. She met Hajime's party at the northern mountains of the village of Ur and attacked them due to Shimizu's influence. After her defeat at the hands of Hajime (by sticking the stake of "Pile Bunker" to Tio's rectum), she became devoted to him. She became a masochist after being beaten by Hajime and called him master as a sign of her devotion.

Her grandfather and the leader of the Dragonmen Tribe. Adul vows to protect his granddaughter after the death of her parents and will do anything for her happiness.
Kharga & Orna Klarus[]
Tio loved her late parents deeply. However, when her parents died along with her people by the manipulation of Ehit, their death has made Tio vengeful and she desires to find a very powerful group to ensure that her vengeance will be absolute as it was the reason why she joined Hajime's group. Both of her parents and people were later avenged when Hajime killed Ehit.
Hajime Nagumo[]
Hajime is the one who awakens her perverted nature after he defeats her in battle. After defeating and arguably "tainting" her (which Tio even implies is what awakened her masochism), Tio decides to accompany Hajime on his journey while constantly expressing her perverted nature. Hajime constantly finds himself punishing her for her various antics during their travels, which makes Tio incredibly happy, much to his dismay and the others.
Despite Tio's newly perverted nature, she was not romantically interested in Hajime, and only followed him in the hopes of using him as a means to get revenge on Tortus' gods for causing the death of her fellow dragonmen. However, Tio falls in love with Hajime after he protected her using his "Cross Bit" artifacts when she escaped from the Gruen Volcano during their fight against Freid Bagwa.
Since then, Hajime has become "slightly" more tolerant of her and sees Tio as a member of their group. Hajime later confesses that he loves her when her grandfather and the rest of the Dragonmen Tribe decided to help him wage war on Ehit. While Hajime still punishes Tio like he did before, he does it with more affection compared to how he mainly did out of annoyance before, but he still gets annoyed by her.
Yue[]
Yue greatly respects Tio as a member of the Dragonmen race, but is put off by her perverted antics. Despite Shea calling Tio crazy, Yue acknowledges Tio and sees her as a powerful asset in battle.
Shea Haulia[]
Like everyone else, Shea considers Tio to be a huge pervert, but she also views her to be the wisest and most composed of her companions. When Shea was on a unofficial date with Hajime, she says that she likes Tio in spite of being a pervert. Shea sees a lot of her mother in Tio and feels safe whenever she is around.
Kaori Shirasaki[]
One of Tio's companions. She shares the same opinion with everyone with regards of Tio being a pervert. Though Kaori is shown to also have some perverted qualities as well, she tries to hide it behind Tio's antics hoping that it would overshadow hers. After Hajime accepts Shea as a lover, Kaori and Tio constantly support each other in order for him to accept them as well.
Shizuku Yaegashi[]
One of Tio's companions. She shares the same opinion with everyone with regards of Tio being a pervert. They are also similar due to the fact that each of them acts like a older sister towards their individual group. Tio sees that Shizuku tends to worry a lot due to her over-responsible personality and encourages her to loosen up a bit, so that she doesn't worry those close to her. Tio was able to notice Shizuku's hidden feelings of love for Hajime and subtly encourages her to pursue them so she can find her own happiness.
Aiko Hatayama[]
Tio first met Aiko in the mountains. And she later destroyed the Holy Church with a little help from Aiko.
Remia[]
Tio and Remia work alongside Hajime on his business ventures after they go to Earth with him. The two of them have also created their own line of clothing. While they are close, Remia tends to get sucked into various mischief that Tio causes due to her perverted personality such as dressing like a sailor girl when Tio did, a event which caused deep trauma and a scar on her heart. While she is normally tolerant of Tio's perverted personality, Remia is very strict with her if it seems like she is going to influence Myu with it, due to Remia wanting to maintain Myu's innocence.

Like Hajime and the wives, Tio is protective of her. Myu also sees Tio as a pervert and masochist, to the point where she recommended using her as a meatshield in a snowball fight.

As the mastermind who killed her parents and subjects, Tio holds great hatred towards Ehit and swore to avenge her parents and her people's deaths which ended in success after Hajime killed Ehit.
Freid Bagwa[]
Freid was the commander of the Demon race and Tio's killed victim. When he cowardly retreating after he failed to kill Hajime (only wounded him) in an ambush, Tio severely injured Freid but unable to kill him. Fortunely, she left humiliating scars on Freid. During their final battle, Tio killed Freid and his wyvern mount.
Yukitoshi Shimizu[]
When he first encountered her, Tio was in a deep sleep. Using this chance, he brainwashed Tio into killing Will and all other witnesses. However, it later backfired after Tio, who was released from the brainwashing, helped Hajime and his comrades in defeating his Monster army. Tio later witnessed Hajime murdering him afterwards.

As a dragonmen, Tio is one of the strongest races in Tortus. She is renowned as the strongest dragon when her strength surpassed of her grandfather until her defeated by Hajime Nagumo while she was brainwashed by Yukitoshi Shimizu. As a princess, she has authority over her subjects.
- Immense Strength: In her human appearance, Tio is very formidable fighter and an expert of hand-to-hand combat. In true form, Tio can easily overpowered anyone who are the supposedly strongest such as she severely injures and later killed Freid Bagwa who is the strongest of the demon of Garland despite of him being a hybrid Apostle.
- Immense Mobility: In her human form, Tio possessed a talented speed when she elegantly dodged the monsters' attacks. In her true form, Tio can catch up to her enemies with ease such as Freid Bagwa while riding on his wyvern.
- Immense Durability: Tio has immense durability as her body is too tough and thick while in her true form. She took severely injuries when Hajime impaled her with a rod. While still hasn't full recovered from the impale of Hajime's rod, Tio feel fatigue as she goes to sleep.
- Intelligence: As a wise princess, Tio is highly intelligent when she seeks a very powerful group to join to ensure her vengeance upon Ehit and the Holy Church will be ensure which is the main reason she joined Hajime and his party. Despite of being a neglected pervert, She is considered the smartest of all of Hajime's harems.
- Enhanced Mana: As a dragonmen, Tio has tremendous mana.
On Sora's Team[]
Tio joins Sora's team especially since she is a pervert like Tomoe, Root, and several other heroes especially after she finished expelling criminals but Isogai asked Nagumo to make the Tsar cannon making Nagumo say yes because he was annoyed especially the hero, Nagumo's classmate, and Class 3-E why used as a Tsar's cannon because Tio thought Tio would be given fireworks but unfortunately Tio was tied up by Isogai and Nagumo instead helped Isogai enter for making cannon for Isogai then Isogai say that her was teaching Maehara, Okajima, Mitsurugi Kyouya, and several other people about inappropriate things, then Nagumo who hearing with Isogai getting annoyed because of Isogai, and Nagumo getting annoyed her then Nagumo, and Isogai said with together to her is Go reflect on you actions then rudely blasting her when Nagumo using cannon to help Isogai for back to the Wasteland to repent for stupidly saying lewd things to Maehara, and some heroes about not being worthy of being imitated about the relationship of Nagumo, and her because of Tio like Korosensei when he saved Nagumo, he and his party after joining Sora's team. Isogai was worried that after flying Tio, Isogai would think Nagumo would kill him for flying, but instead Nagumo was helped by Isogai because Isogai had the same thoughts as Nagumo. made Nagumo feel what Isogai thought, even though Isogai was like Kouki, but Isogai understood his feelings so that Isogai and Kouki could become shared leaders while on Sora's team even though She's pervert then have bad relationship with Isogai just like with Kouki but Tio understand about Isogai angry moreover She very be careful to Isogai about her deed especially Nagumo help Isogai to punish her if pervert again from any deed just like teach Okajima, Maehara, and other heroes make Isogai angry.
