Maria Mikhailovna Kujou (マリア・ミハイロヴナ・ Maria Mihairovuna Kujō? ; Russian: Мария Михайловна Кудзё), also known as Masha (マーシャ Māsha? ; Russian: Маша), is one of the main characters in the series. She is a second-year student at Seiren Private Academy, serving as Secretary of the student council. Maria is widely regarded as one of the two most beautiful girls in her grade, alongside Chisaki Sarashina, and is known as the Madonna (学園の Gakuen no ?, lit. "Academy's Madonna" ).

Maria presents a striking and distinct physical appearance, markedly contrasting with her younger sister Alisa’s ethereal beauty. Maria’s allure is defined by a fair yet more grounded complexion, which, while lighter than that of the average Japanese person, lacks the almost translucent, milky-white quality of Alisa’s skin. Her shoulder-length, wavy hair, a soft shade of light brown, harmonises with her warm, chocolate-coloured almond-shaped eyes, exuding a gentle and inviting presence. Maria’s figure is distinguished by a fuller, traditionally feminine form, particularly evident in her pronounced curves. Her large breasts and full hips contribute to a voluptuous physique, providing a stark contrast to Alisa’s tall, slim, and mature frame. Despite her youthful, baby-like face, which imparts an air of innocence, Maria’s overall appearance is decidedly more maternal and nurturing, a quality that has earned her the appellation "Madonna" among her peers. Maria had a different appearance in the past. Instead of her current light brown hair and hazel eyes, she previously had long, bright blonde hair and blue eyes.
Background[]
She was Masachika's childhood friend before Masachika changed his surname from "Suou" to "Kuze". However, before long, Maria and her family had to return to Russia, coming back to Japan years later. Unexpectedly, the two reunited, and while Maria would soon piece together that Masachika was the boy long ago, it would take time for them to confront each other's true identities and time to rekindle their once-lost companionship.
Personality[]
Maria is a sweet young lady with a soft atmosphere around her constantly. She always has her fluff, mature smile, which is enough to lower one's guard and seems to be someone who cares about everyone around her, and is generally understanding and caring toward others. Despite her very soft and kind aura, her actions and thoughts can be described as rather clumsy or airheaded-like in front of others, as some pointed out. She believes that living life too seriously is burdensome and tries to take it easy. Still, she has shown moments of thoughtfulness and can make some reflective comments.
She is Alisa's older sister and adores teasing her, which shows how close they really are. Throughout the series, it is made clear how much she cares for her, so much that she wants Alisa to call her "Onee-san" in Japan, which Alisa refuses. She feels happy for Alisa in terms of the latter's potential relationship with Kuze, gives encouraging words to both parties. Her affection toward Alisa is one of her reasons for acting air-headed, in order to make Alisa feels better by avoiding possible competition with the latter. Unlike her sister, Maria is often quite difficult to read. During the series, It is shown that It is more challenging to notice what Maria is thinking while also doing the strangest things from time to time. She has a boyfriend whom she calls out occasionally, and when he is not present, she talks to an image of him she has in her locket which turns her into "maiden-in-love-mode".
When it comes to school, she is a model student. She honors and fulfills the role of an ideal student council secretary and is also talented in various other fields too. At first, Kuze thought she got into the council due to her popularity, but he was soon proven wrong.
She loves cute things and always wants to keep them for herself. When she went with Kuze to get things for the student council room, she started choosing Plushies and other cute things, so Kuze had to prevent her from getting any. She also likes Tea and bought some of it for the student council.
