Allen

Allen, formerly known as the "Hero", is the titular main antagonist of the Japanese Light Novel series The White Mage Who was Banished From the Hero's Party is Picked Up by an S-Rank Adventurer: This White Mage is Too Out of the Ordinary!

He is the former "chosen hero" whose purpose was to defeat the demon lord, but was quickly dismissed due to him being an arrogant and incompetent weakling who abused his status in attempt for his own selfish gain as well his having his party members turn against him and began to quit his party one after another because he unfairly kicked Lloyd out, not knowing his support magic made Allen strong and without it, Allen is weaker than an amateur adventurer. All of Allen's former teammates joined the S-Rank Party (led by the series' deuteragonist, Yui) to earn Lloyd's forgiveness and to repay their debts to society after all of the former members of the hero's party (Lina, Miya, Lulu and Sheena) were fed up with Allen's incompetence and delusion. Following his disqualification as a hero, he became the most wanted criminal of humanity who attempted to seek revenge on Lloyd for allegedly stealing his glory, something that he didn't even do, simply by committing war crimes against the people he was supposed to protect, as he had the delusional belief that he was still the so-called "true hero" chosen by the gods. However, the kingdom placed a bounty on Allen's head, wanting him dead or alive. Even though he ended up alone after all of his party member left him and his "hero's party" was effectively disbanded, he still intended to get revenge on Lloyd, while still thinking he could regain his glory as a "hero".

He is the archnemesis and self-proclaimed rival of his former teammate and the main protagonist, Lloyd.

Biography

Allen used to be the "chosen hero" who was supposed to defeat the Demon Lord army. He kicked Lloyd out of the "Hero's Party", thinking he was useless. Without Lloyd however, Allen and his party starting their quests, which led to one of his party members the knight, Lina losing her arm, causing her to be discharged from the party due to her injuries which would lead to the collapse of the "Hero's Party". Revealing that Allen was weak and his strength was because of Lloyd's support magic (which he didn’t know about due to his dimwittedness and incompetence).

After Lina's discharge from the party due to her injuries after losing her arm, Allen was given an emergency request which was to defeat the army of demons or Allen would be stripped of his title as the hero. He and his party went to the Adventurer's Guild in an attempt to get the adventurers to complete his request for him. However, one of his party members, Miya (who is a mage) exposed Allen as a fraud and weakling and tearfully quit the Hero's Party, after saying that Allen was not "the man she fell in love with". Allen tried to convince Miya otherwise, but was stopped by the knights when they learned that Allen didn’t practice and was losing members of his party one after another. Allen made an excuse by stating that he is the hero and didn't need to train which disgusted the knight general. The knight general pushed Allen towards a table, declaring he doesn't deserve to call himself a hero as he was disgusted by Allen's arrogance and weakness. Allen tried to punch the general but was easily blocked and while gripping Allen's hand, the general was disappointed that Allen was weaker than a novice adventurer. He and his two other members Lulu and Sheena left the Guild believing they would die without his help. But when Lloyd became the town's hero, Allen was shocked that Lloyd gained so much fame and that everyone had lost what little respect they had for Allen. This caused Allen to seek revenge on Lloyd for allegedly 'stealing' his glory as a hero (but in reality it was due to Allen's own incompetence). Lina reunited with Lloyd to apologize for foolishly kicking him out of the hero’s party, but Lloyd had already forgiven her as it wasn't her fault, but Allen's due to his incompetence ever since she lost her arm. The knights, now aware of his true cowardly and wretched nature, weren't as forgiving and arrived to arrest Allen and his party for rejecting the emergency request and nearly causing the deaths of the people. For refusing to accept the emergency request, Allen was officially stripped of his title as hero. Allen then went to the bar and drank alcohol while suffering a complete mental breakdown as his hatred towards Lloyd got the better of him, declaring that this wasn’t over. Allen and his party soon left before declaring he will get back at Lloyd for humiliating him. After escaping from the Knight, Allen soon became a wanted criminal in his goal to get revenge on Lloyd. However, Allen ended up with a bounty on his head, being captured dead or alive for evading justice.

To seek revenge on Lloyd, Allen intended to steal a holy sword from the holy church and committed war crimes, believing that the holy sword was the source of his power. The other "Hero's parties" under Testa (the hero of destruction), hated Allen because not only was he weak and arrogant despite him being a former hero, but also because he stole their party member Sheena (the sage) and they distrusted Lloyd for being Allen's former party member despite the S-Rank adventurers revealing that Lloyd had nothing to do with Allen because he was kicked out for no good reason. Little did Allen know, that Lloyd had obtained a holy staff (originally belonging to an ancient sage), a weapon that is equal to the holy sword and boosted Lloyd's power, as the hero of destruction, Testa tries to touch Lloyd's new holy staff, but was sharply rejected by the staff. Lina (despite losing her arm due to the failed quest thanks to Allen's incompetence) became a B-rank adventurer and joined Lloyd and Yui's S-Rank party to atone for her past mistake for foolishly banishing Lloyd out of the "Hero's Party" due to Allen's ignorance and incompetence, although there wasn't any other party that intended to recruit Lina for being a one-handed adventurer. Allen thought by using the Holy Sword, it would assist him in getting revenge on Lloyd, but he was not aware that the Holy Sword didn’t make him all-powerful as it only chooses a wielder if they have tremendous potential, but Allen certainly did not as he already wasted his potential due to his delusions of grandeur, making the holy sword to be a useless tool described by Lloyd's mentor and foster mother, Merlin.

Miya (the mage and ex-member of the "hero's party") also eventually joined Yui's S-Rank Party to regain Lloyd's trust (just like Lina) after she left Allen and exposed him as a fraud. Later on, Lulu and Sheena (the last of Allen's party members) turned against Allen, and ended up joining the S-Rank Party to apologize to Lloyd and wished to regain his trust and forgiveness, thus signaling the end of the hero's party for good. After all of his former party members joined Yui and her S-Rank Party out of remorse and to redeem themselves, Allen tried to manipulated Yui so that he could be her party member in her S-Rank party in attempt to regain his "former glory" as a so-called "hero", as well as he believed that he was much more superior than Lloyd. His belief only disgusted Yui as she refused to allow an incompetent idiot like Allen to join her party for what he did to her beloved party member, Lloyd, looking down on others and considered women as sexual tools based on their looks. Allen became totally isolated with his criminal records and reputation as a falsely hero, making it impossile for him to be recruit to another powerful because he is weak and incompetent. He still continues his useless attempts to get revenge on Lloyd and pathetically thinking he is still the "hero chosen by the gods" despite the fact Allen is completely written off as a criminal.

Allen is a young man with a blonde silky hair. He wore a red body armor and cape.

Allen is an arrogant, delusional, fraudulent, selfish and hypocritical dimwit who only cares about himself and referred to himself a "hero" and the so-called "chosen one" by the gods. He also looked down on others, acting all high and mighty while judging people based on their appearances and the surface, not realizing that he was extremely weak. He only cared about himself and showed no sign of concern for anyone even for his soon-to-be former party members. He abused his title as a hero in attempt to gain whatever he wants.

He was a very ignorant and incompetent fool as after he kicked Lloyd out of his party, he had his teammates take on extremely dangerous quests as well as failing each and every one of those quests. As he was no longer as powerful without Lloyd's support magic which boosted Allen's strength due to his dimwittedness. His actions also caused his teammates to be dismissed/quit such as Lina (who was discharged due to her losing her left arm), Miya (who tearfully exposed Allen as a fraud and a weakling after she quit Allen's party) and later both Lulu and Sheena (who realized Allen was incompetence) as well as causing his former members to join Yui's S-Rank Party out of genuine remorse. His stupidity in believing that he was still a hero and that he doesn't need training which only disgusted the knight general who dismissed him as the hero for being weak and incompetent.

He is also a despicable pervert who was obsessed with women based on their looks, that was the reason his party members were all women (excluding Lloyd). He even stole a female member from the other hero’s party (Sheena). However, he was the worst as he tried to make up excuse when he attempted to tell Miya that one quest failure wasn't a big deal only for the mage to become heartbroken and quit the "Hero's Party" as Miya told to Allen that he was not the "man she fell in love with" as well as exposing Allen as a fake. After being dismissed as the "hero" and later both Sheena and Lulu turned against him as all of his former party members joined the S-Rank Party, it was revealed that Allen never actually cared about his party members as he only saw them as pawns for his ambitions as he manipulated them and only cared about women for their looks. Eventually, Allen became the enemy of all women as they already showed disgust for him due to him being a lying and manipulative idiot now, as no women were interest in an incompetent and delusional fool like Allen who was only obsessed with women for their looks due to his negative influence towards his former party members who are now aware of his lies as it shown when Yui (the leader of S-Rank Party) and Silica (the mage of the S-Rank Party and Yui's best friend) has no interest in Allen because they hate him.

He was also a coward as he ran away from the monsters that were swarming him and his party without Lloyd's support magic. After failing the quests, Allen attempted to get the adventurers from the Adventurer's Guild to fight his battles for him during the Emergency Quest only to be foiled due to Miya exposing Allen as a fraud before Miya decided to quit Allen's party. He also shown fear that the unforgiving royal knights will coming for him, so he ended up running away to evade justice for now.

After getting dismissed as a hero and losing everyone’s support, Allen became a salty and insane lunatic as he suffered a complete metal breakdown after everyone praised Lloyd and considered him as their true hero as well they've turned their backs on Allen. Allen discarded his sheds of humanity and became evil desiring revenge on Lloyd for allegedly stealing his glory as the "hero" but in truth it was all Allen's own incompetence that was the reason as he banished Lloyd and caused the collapse of the "Hero's Party" in the first place. He stole the Holy Church's holy sword just to get revenge on Lloyd and committed crimes, thinking it is the source of his power. His ignorance increased with his incompetence as he believed that the Holy Sword was the source of his power so that he could get revenge on Lloyd, but unbeknownst to him, the Holy Sword didn’t give him power as it only chooses those who have tremendous potential but Allen had wasted all of his potential and ended up completely washed up as well the Holy Sword deemed Allen to be unworthy and it is useless at his hands.

Unlike his now former party members (such as Lina, Miya, Lulu and Sheena) who regretted their actions and showed genuine remorse for wrongfully kicking Lloyd out for such a stupid reason and ended up apologizing to Lloyd and finally joined the S-Rank party (led by Yui) to make up for their mistakes and seeking redemption, Allen however, lacks remorse and refuses to take responsibility for his actions as he was blinded by his delusions of grandeur. He even blamed others (such as Lloyd) for his own failures, but in reality it was his fault. He is grew even more deluded as he foolishly refused to apologize to Lloyd because he believed that he stole his glory as the so-called "hero" showing that Allen has no redeemable quality as after his party disbanded, he made a futile and foolish attempt to manipulate Yui into letting him join her party as his only wanted to regain his glory and foolishly believed that he was better than Lloyd, only for Yui to harshly reject him because of her hatred towards him for treating Lloyd horribly and considering women (particularly his four now-former party members) as sexual objects based on their looks.

Abilities and Powers

• Physical Strength: As a former hero, Allen has physical strength and was once considered to have tremendous potential with the Holy Sword. However, in truth, it was all from Lloyd's support magic. Without Lloyd's support magic, Allen was revealed to be an incompetent weakling as he lacked physical power and his potential was eventually wasted as shown when Allen couldn’t even hurt a monster or leave a scratch on the demonic beasts. According to Miya, Allen didn't even train when she revealed how weak he really was. His strength was weaker than a novice adventurer as his fist was easily stopped by the knight general (by Lina in the anime).
• Manipulation: Allen is silver-tongued as he manipulated his female party members just so that he could become a noble and have a harem. He manipulated a former S-Rank adventurer who became a criminal, using his former status as hero just so he can steal the holy sword and get revenge on Lloyd in exchange for freeing her. But due to his failure, his manipulation was due to his arrogance as Lina, Miya and finally both Sheena and Lulu realized they were blinded by his fame and lies, as Lina and the others were already aware of why they were weak as they understood that their strength came from Lloyd's support magic. His manipulation didn’t work on Yui because the leader of the S-Rank Party saw through his pathetic attempt.

Weaknesses

• Arrogance and Delusion: Allen is extremely arrogant and delusional as he believed himself to be a "Hero" only to show that he was just a fraud and a weakling. His arrogance and delusions of grandeur caused his party's collapse after he kicked Lloyd out and started losing his team members such as Lina (who was dismissed due to losing her left arm) and while Miya (who quit after revealing that Allen was a fraud calling himself a hero when he didn't even train) when they found out that Allen was both a liar and fraud. His arrogance also disgusted the knight general who dismissed Allen as a hero for being weak and incompetent. Allen's arrogance also caused the other "hero's party" led by Testa, to developed their hatred and distrust towards Allen and his party including his former members like Lloyd despite the S-Rank party revealing that Lloyd was kicked out by Allen for stupid reasons. After his dismissal as a hero, Allen's actions has led him to become a criminal when committing crimes on humanity, thinking he was still the hero by stealing the holy sword in his attempt to get revenge on his former teammate, Lloyd. He believes that he is better than Lloyd when he tried to get Yui to make him a part of her Party, but only for her to see through his pathetic acting as she rejected Allen and declared that he was worthless and that Lloyd was a better person than Allen could ever would be.
• Cowardice: Despite being a hero, Allen was a total lazy coward as he never fought and let others do his fighting for him. He cowardly tried to make the adventurers do his work and his battles for him but was foiled by Miya after she exposed him as a fake hero who was actually weak.
• Low Intelligence: Allen has extremely poor intelligence as he charged towards his enemies without thinking. After banishing Lloyd, it proved that Allen's dimwittedness matched his incompetence as his party was even weaker without Lloyd's support magic and the "Hero's Party" were on the verge of collapse as he was losing his party members one by one such as Lina (after losing her left arm), Miya (when she sadly quit the party due to Allen's incompetence) and finally both Lulu and Sheena (they both betrayed Allen and sided with the S-Rank Party to regain Lloyd’s trust and forgiveness (although he had already forgiven them which was not enough to them)). Allen's ignorance had increased even more when he believed that with the Holy Sword, he could exact vengeance on Lloyd but unbeknownst to him, the Holy Sword didn’t give him power (according to Merlin (Lloyd's mentor)).
• Physical Combat: It is revealed that Allen has a lack of physical prowess because his strength came from Lloyd's support magic. Without Lloyd's support magic, Allen was weak and incompetent as his attacks didn’t even hurt any monsters and he could not land a single scratch on them either. According to Miya, Allen didn't even train to increase his power, leaving him a washed-up weakling. He was easily pushed and grabbed by the knight general as was Allen far weaker than a novice adventurer. Even Testa (the Hero of Destruction) revealed that Allen was weak for ignoring the Emergency Request which led Allen to his dismissal as a hero. It was revealed that even with the Holy Sword, it didn’t make Allen powerful according to Merlin (the mentor and adoptive mother of Allen's arch-nemesis, Lloyd)) as he foolishly thought the Holy Sword was the source of his power, but in reality it was from Lloyd's support magic.
• Poor Leadership: Unlike Yui, Allen had extremely poor leadership as he endangered his teammates in such a reckless request as he caused all of his teammates to quit one after another, his party finally collapsed after he kicked Lloyd out of his party for a very stupid reason.
• His Party Collapse: After his party members finally realized their mistakes and having remorse for their actions after wrongfully kicking Lloyd out due to Allen's lies and fame, Allen had lost all the faith, admiration, and love from his party members as they turned against him one after another for being fed up with his delusions, as his party was on the verge of disbandment. It started with Lina due to her abandoning her love and loyalty for Allen and developed a full-blown hatred for him after he caused her to lose her left arm in their failed quest without Lloyd. Miya turned on Allen and left as well, after she exposed him as a weak fraud to the Adventurer's Guild and the royal knights, where the mage also developed her hatred towards Allen, declaring he is not the "man she fell in love with" (the same as Lina), and finally both Lulu and Sheena eventually turned on Allen and joined the S-Rank party after realizing his incompetence and now seeking redemption, left Allen's party causing it to collapse for good. With his party now collapsed due to all of his party members leaving after they learning about his lies and manipulation, Allen was left all alone as no other parties would ever recruit a weak, incompetent and delusional moron like Allen such as Yui (the leader of the S-Rank Party) due to Allen mistreating Lloyd and looking down on others.

He villainously declared to the adventurers that they will die without his help, causing Allen to officially lose his title as a hero.
• He escaped from the knights who were intending to arrest him but vowed that he will have his revenge on Lloyd. After he was dismissed as a hero, Allen suffered a complete mental breakdown as he became a deranged lunatic that was obsessed with getting vengeance on Lloyd due to his blind hatred towards the White Mage, believing he stole his glory as hero, but it was Allen's own actions that was at fault.
• He stole the Holy Sword in an attempt to get his revenge on Lloyd.
• He freed the former S-rank adventurer who became a criminal to make a deal with her to kill Lloyd.
• His crimes caused his last party members Sheena and Lulu to betray him and defected to Lloyd and the S-Rank Party, causing his party to be disbanded.
• When his party collapsed completely as his 4 former party members (Lina, Miya, Lulu and Sheena) joined the S-Rank party led by Yui, out of being genuinely remorseful and intending to regain Lloyd’s trust, Allen tried to manipulate Yui into letting him join her party, believing he is competent and superior than Lloyd. However, Yui rejected Allen because the leader of the S-Rank party absolutely hated the former hero for not only being weak and incompetent, but also mistreating her beloved party member Lloyd, because he coldly kicked the white mage out without a second thought. Yui declared she will never recruit an incompetent and deluded weakling like Allen as he looked down on others and treated women like sexual objects, based on their appearance. Yui also declared to Allen that Lloyd is far more competent and superior than the former hero will ever be.

• For kicking Lloyd out of his party as well lying to his former female party members and treating them like sexual objects based on their looks, Allen is arguably the most hated character in the series generally by the fans.
• Due to his lack of training and his powers actually coming from Lloyd's support magic, Allen is the weakest character in the series.
• Unlike his former teammates (who eventually joined the S-rank Party to redeem themselves), Allen is the only member of the now-disbanded Hero Party that didn't join the S-rank Party as Yui hated Allen and refused to let him join her party due to his arrogance and for unfairly banishing Lloyd due to his ridiculous ego. Yui refused to believe that Allen was better than Lloyd as the leader of the S-Rank Party declared that Allen was nothing more than an incompetent idiot as she revealed that Lloyd was far greater than Allen would ever be. Plus, Yui showed her extremely disgust towards Allen for his obsession of women based on their looks.
• Allen will likely be easily defeated and handed to the authorities by Lloyd where his scheme for revenge on Lloyd for "stealing his glory" ended up to a total failure if they were to ever fight. If that happens, Allen would either be imprisoned or get executed for his crimes.
• Allen committed each of the Seven Deadly Sins:
  • Pride: Allen was prideful as he called himself a so-called "true hero chosen by gods" and judged others based on the surface by looking down on them, believing they were inferior to him but it only showed that he was the one who was weak. In the end, his pride was shattered when he lost everything (including his title as hero, his party members and his fame).
  • Wrath: Allen became angry as he suffered a complete mental breakdown due to his disqualification as a hero, his party member abandoning him one by one and swearing revenge on Lloyd.
  • Sloth: Allen is a lazy coward who never trained and only let others fight his battles for him.
  • Lust: Allen was obsessed with women, judging them by their looks and attempted to have a harem. However, he eventually lost all the admiration/love from women including his former teammates, ending up being the enemy of all women.
  • Gluttony: Allen attempted to use his title as a "hero" to gain nobility.
  • Greed: Allen is obsessed with power as believed that by stealing the holy sword, it will grant him strength only to shown useless in his hands.
  • Envy: Allen displayed his jealousy towards Lloyd when he was acknowledge as the true hero, while Allen lost everything.
• In the anime, Allen tried to punch Lina for betraying him and exposing him as a fraud but was blocked by his former party member, causing everyone to learn that he was weak, causing Allen to run away like a spineless coward.
• In the anime, despite the three other members (Miya, Lulu and Sheena) are still with him, they are beginning to doubt Allen and slowly losing their faiths/love for him, before they will eventually quit his party due to the former hero's incompetence and abandon Allen for good, just like Lina did.

Against Sora's Team

Allen joins Xehanort's team along with other villains, especially he is the enemy of all heroes along with Arios, Malty, and all the other villains who have been evil to heroes, he is even a fugitive from the Marines because the kingdom reported to the Marines for his actions against Lloyd and his former colleagues.
