Alisa Mikhailovna Kujou (アリサ・ミハイロヴナ・ Arisa Mihairovuna Kujō? ; Russian: Алиса Михайловна Кудзё), also known as Alya (アーリャ Ārya? ; Russian: Аля), is the main female protagonist and the titular protagonist of the series. She is a first-year student at Seirei Private Academy. Alisa is an honor student with the highest grades in the school and serves as the Treasurer for the student council. She is widely regarded as one of the two most beautiful girls in her grade, alongside Yuki Suou, and is known as the Solitary Princess (孤高のお姫様 Kokō no Ohime-sama? ).

Alisa presents an ethereal and captivating physical appearance, distinctly contrasting with her older sister Maria’s grounded beauty. Alisa’s allure is defined by her milky-white complexion, so pale that it appears almost translucent, a trait that diverges sharply from the typical Japanese skin tone. Personality[]
She always ranks first in class tests, is good at sports and has the role of the student council treasurer since her first year at the school. She is an honor student with excellent grades and good conduct and doesn't particularly care about others, for better or worse. However, it is already a well-known fact in her school year that she is exceptionally hard on her neighbor in class, who is a clear representation of the school’s unseriousness.
Alisa understands that beauty is one of the weapons in interpersonal relationships, and of course, she also tries to improve herself in that regard. She doesn’t use make-up because it's against school regulations, but still, she's very proud of her beauty, which rivals any celebrity out there. She isn’t interested in attracting the attention of the opposite sex in particular, but she knows that her appearance would attract people’s attention.
She seems to be quite the possessive type and gets jealous easily, although it only shows when Masachika interacts with other girls. To best describe her, she's a tsundere who often teases Masachika. But in fact Alisa is hopelessly in love with Masachika, though most of the time she is unaware of her intense feelings towards him, and any attempts to acknowledge this are met with self-denial until much later.
Background[]
She comes from a well-off family. Through this privilege and a nurturing environment, she excelled and developed many talents. However, despite being handed these things in life, she is determined not to let that define her but rather to be defined by always striving for the top no matter what, by always putting in more effort than others.
As she grew up, she started acquiring social skills, but her fundamental ideals and opinions remained unchanged. However, her cold and rigid personality developed during her time in Vladivostok, where disappointment and the lack of motivation from her classmates made her realize how ignorant they were, which created an unconscious condescension within her. Once she realized that, she drew a line to avoid any conflict with those around her, making her feel distant and reserved to others. She has the talent and a competitive spirit that sets her apart from others.
In her third year of junior high school, Alisa returned to Japan because of her father’s work. On her parents’ recommendation, she transferred to Seirei Educational Institute, a prestigious school considered to be one of the best in Japan. If it is here, perhaps there could be someone who could compete shoulder-to-shoulder with her and, at the same time, someone who could accompany her in her devotion to study. This let her have faint expectations.
However, Alisa’s faint expectations were cruelly crushed when she took a proficiency test right after transferring, scoring first place in her school year even after being away from Japan for 5 years. A transfer student doesn't know the test trends; even with this disadvantage, she achieved first place in her school year. This instantly made Alisa popular among the students, who started flocking to her as if she were a celebrity. Alisa's immense beauty also contributed to her popularity. Masachika Kuze[]
The only student to show no interest in Alisa, which left a lasting impression on her. During the first year of high school, after Masachika turned down Yuki's request to run as her partner again for the high school student council, he would volunteer to be Alisa's partner after witnessing her struggles but also her drive to move forward despite the fact that she never asked him in the first place. Since becoming running mates, the two have gotten closer due to more interaction between them. On occasions, Alisa had inadvertently made her feelings known without her realizing it. Alisa's relationship with Yuki is one where the latter often teases the former.
