Mitsuhide Akechi is a playable character that appears in the Sengoku Basara series. He is an Oda vassal who ends up betraying his former master.
Description[]
Mitsuhide is depicted as a psychopath who enjoys the suffering of other people, possibly being more evil than Nobunaga Oda himself. This is depicted as he is one of two characters who can hurt his allies without losing health. He wields dual scythes.
Mitsuhide was reportedly slain by Hideyoshi Toyotomi after his betrayal of Nobunaga. He reappears in Sengoku Basara 3 in disguise, under the new name Tenkai.
In Oichi's Green Route, he claims to want to ressurect Lord Nobunaga and fight him for some undiscernable reason. Should you defeat him, he will claim that "The Enemy Is At Honnoji!". Following this, Oichi will go to Honnoji, and Tenkai will die anticlimactically at Nobunaga's hands. They seemed to know each other, as Nobunaga calls him "still" a fool which is ironic because in Nobunaga's ending Nobunaga says that he doesn't know him much to Tenkai's horror, however Nobunaga's claim that he "does not know" Tenkai could simply be a refusal to acknowledge Tenkai's achievements to keep Tenkai from dying in peace.
In several character's stories other than Oichi's and Nobunaga Oda's, when defeated before Sekigahara at Karasu Castle, he closes his eyes and speaks of peace at the edge of a sea cliff before letting himself fall from the cliff into the water, thus escaping. He will then show up again in Siege of Kanegasaki, leading to the character's Gray Route.
Tenkai is also unlockable as an ally, by finishing Nobunaga's Red Route. As an ally, he has a special ability: Evil Eyes, that will make enemies panic when stared by him.

- Pierces the enemy with the weapon and sucks its life energy.
- After leveling up, the energy absorption speed increases.
- Shodouteki Houyou
- Impulsive Embrace
- The first hit makes enemies falter; they are then sliced up and thrown in midair.
- After level up the number of hits increases.
- Jusoteki Chitoge
- Cursing Thousand Stabs
- Lets void blades fly, which halt enemy movement for a while. Additionally pressing the buttons enables consecutive attacks.
- Kutsujokuteki Oiuchi
- Humiliating Chasing Blows
- A continuous attack aimed at feet level. It's possible to perform a continuous follow-up attack by additional button pressing.
- Shuugoteki Gaikotsu
- Protective Bone Arm
- Multiple skeleton shields are summoned to protect oneself. After pressing the Skill button again the skeletons break down the enemies.
- Ingateki Ouhou
- Karmic Retribution (Dark)
- Taunts the enemies to invite their attacks, lastly performs a counterattack.
- The received damage is returned as a more powerful counterattack.

Mitsuhide joins Xehanort's team especially He is the enemy of Korosensei, and Class 3-E because of Class 3-E, and Korosensei like Nobunaga especially Class 3-E considers that he is like the God of Death as Korosensei's student who betrayed Korosensei made Nobunaga, and Other criminals understand Class 3-E, and Korosensei is the opposite of Nobunaga, and his troops so that there is a fight, especially Korosensei, and Class 3-E becomes his main enemy after feeling his bloodlust and murderous side, making him shocked about the words of Class 3-E, and Korosensei.
