Agate Crosner (アガット・クロスナー), also known as the Heavy Blade (重剣), is a bracer affiliated with branches in Liberl and Erebonia.

Appearance[]
Agate appears as a muscular young man with violet colored eyes and crimson red hair.
In his earlier appearances, Agate has spiky hair and long sideburns. He wears large green boots and dark grey pants with a tank top and a waist high sleeveless jacket. Agate wears a bandana which he rarely takes off, and a stone pendant hangs on his chest.
Later, Agate cuts his hair and removes the bandana. He wears a black long sleeved shirt with a green vest over it as well as dark long pants and brown shoes. The pendant still remains at his chest.
Personality[]
Agate Crosner is a tough guy who can be kind, caring and selfless at times. He can be described as a "Jerk with a heart of gold." Despite being kind, he can sometimes be crass and too direct. Agate takes his duty as a Bracer seriously, but he can be rough around the edges and has a hard time with people due to his directness.
Despite being hot-headed, Agate can look at his missions with a calm and analytical mind. That said, his brashness can sometimes put him in life-threatening danger.
Following Mischa's death, Agate was filled with rage and blamed it on both himself and the army for not doing enough, channeling his rage into his swordsmanship. However, his anger stunted his growth, which both Loewe and Ragnard took note of. Additionally, due to the trauma that he had suffered during the Hundred Days War, Agate became more independent preferred not to work with people (particularly children who remind him of his sister) lest they get hurt. After spending time with Estelle, Joshua and Tita, he was able to accept his sister's death and showed a much more softer side.
He shares a strong bond with Tita due to the time spent together during their journey, although he still treats her like a little sister from time to time due to their age difference. Tita's family has accepted him as an impromptu family member, but he often bumps heads with Tita's mother Erika as she views him with suspicion for "corrupting" her daughter.
Background[]
Agate was born in Ravennue Village in S.1178. There Agate lived happily with his family and his younger sister, Mischa until the Hundred Days War struck in S.1192.

Agate Crosner is first introduced when Estelle Bright, Joshua Bright and Scherazard Harvey bump into him on the way to Ravennue Village. Agate scoffs at the idea that Cassius could've been caught on the airliner so easily when the missing airline is brought up. Scherazard introduces Estelle and Joshua but they and their efforts are easily dismissed by Agate. He later assists them in a battle at the when military monsters attack the Krone Pass, but leaves soon afterwards. After Cassius went missing, Agate was contacted by Cassius via letter to hunt down the men in black who were causing mayhem in Liberl.
In Ruan, he is revealed to have been the former head of the Raven Gang and after confronting the men in black at the lighthouse, he gives chase, only to come face to face with Lorence Belgar who outwits him with a body split craft and criticises his motivation.
Agate plays a key role in helping retrieve Albert Russell from Leiston Fortress. At first, he takes a bullet laced with poison at Carnelia Tower, necessitating Estelle's group to find an antidote. he then develops a strong bond with Tita Russell, who he takes under his protection and goes into hiding with with the professor.
They both return for the battle in Grancel, with Agate helping to explore the Sealed Area. After the incident was resolved, Agate was promoted by Bracer Guild from a C-rank to a B-rank.

Agate makes his reappearance when Estelle returns to Liberl. Depending on the players choice, Agate will either accompany Estelle solving mysterious incidents brought about by Ouroboros' Enforcer's , or if not chosen, will accompany Anelace instead. If Agate is chosen, he will help solve the case of the ghost case in Ruan (confronting his old Raven Gang members in the process), the case with the earthquakes in Zeiss and the mad Tea party in Grancel. If Schera is chosen, Agate will chase down puppet black-clad soldiers and come face to face with Campanella.
Agate takes a key role in Bose when Ragnard attacks the city with Leonhardt at the reigns. After having noticed that the wanted monsters seemed spooked, Agate suggests it could be a warning. his fears are confirmed after the attack, and he rushes off alone to try and stop the dragon, reaching Ravennue too late and subsequently heading into the Ravennue Mine to confront Leonhardt. Leonhardt analyses Agate, stating their similarities and his low chances of defeat, but Agate is obstinate and starts to fight. Leonhardt effortlessly cuts down Agate and slices his blade in two, but is prevented from delivering the final blow by late arriving Tita and afterwards, the Liberl Army.
A recovering Agate challenges General Morgan when the latter doesn't want to have bracers be involved, calling his role in the Hundred Days War into question. Morgan is reminded of a young youth he saw which was Agate. While Agate is unconscious, elder Reisen tells the group his backstory. Morgan apologizes for what he sees as his role in creating the person Agate is today, but Estelle convinces him that Agate saw Bracers as being able to do things the army couldn't and she gets him to work with them. Agate meanwhile is dreaming of his late sister, and wakes up to find Tita by his bedside. he reveals the rock pendant he wears is from his sister's last act, and holds onto it as a symbol of his held anger at the war. Tita helps him move past this and see things with a different perspective.
In the rematch against Ragnard, Agate awakens the dragon with an initial strike that isn't quite powerful enough. After a battle, he dives off a ledge and smashes the gospel controlling him, freeing Ragnard who thanks him and commends the blow. Later, Agate and Morgan visit Ravennue's memorial, also meeting Leonhardt but they allow each other to pay their respects before leaving.
Agate would continue to assist Estelle's group through the following struggles in Liberl, including the Tetracyclic Towers battles, delivering Zero-field generators to each Bracer Guild in the Orbal Shutdown Phenomenon, liberating Grancel from the Ouroboros attack and the assault on the Liber Ark. After the events in Liberl are concluded peacefully, Agate was promoted to A rank.
Trails in the Sky the 3rd[]
Agate was one of the sixteen individuals summoned to Phantasma. After he is rescued from the crystal by Kevin Graham's party, he joins them in clearing the seven planes and finding a way back to reality.
In a Memory door, it is revealed that he had been commissioned by the Russells to help out with the Orbal Gear Project, after Erika Russell despises him for his bond with Tita. She aspires to do him harm by making him participate in the testing process. Dan Russell, who is seemingly less aggressive, confronts Agate about his intentions with Tita on the roof. During the actual testing, Agate's efforts are dismissed continuously. When he wins a mock battle against the Gear, Erika bids Dan fetch his staff to fight him, but in that space of time, the Gear goes berserk and attacks. Agate takes a blow for Tita and the two share a tender moment. From then on, he attract more ire from the Russells. he is invited to dinner and further testing, where he meets all manner of traps and ill-intent.
Trails of Cold Steel III[]
After learning about the activities of Ouroboros and jaegers during the Erebonian Civil War in S.1204, he decides to transfer to the Erebonian branches of the Bracer Guild to help out Olivert Reise Arnor, whom he worked together with in Liberl and who restored the Erebonian branches of the Bracer Guilds after the Assault on the Imperial Guilds by putting pressure on the Intelligence Division.
Independently Agate seeks the truth behind the Hamel Tragedy that spawned the Hundred Days War in S.1192, during which he lost his sister. He joins Rean Schwarzer and new Class VII in investigating Hamel and clearing it of Ouroboros.
Later, Agate comes to Heimdallr after the Bracer Guilds are allowed to reopen, and there is multi-agency cooperation to find Calvardian agents operating in the city. During the Summer Festival, Agate is called to help locate one such leftover agent in a special team put together by Rean and Lechter Arundel.
Agate joins the battle outside the Gral of Erebos, riding in on an orbal bike with Tio Plato.
Trails of Cold Steel IV[]
Agate returns as part of the forces helping to retrieve Class VII from the Black Workshop with Rean. He then starts looking for Tita and Scherazard on the Western side of the empire. He helps Rean and his party infiltrate Dreknor Fortress, citing his previous experience with Leiston Fortress, as well as being Tita's guardian. He brings a sensor cancelling device with him as well.
Agate has an unfortunate time at the Eryn hot springs when the other tease him about Tita. he then helps out in various operations, including one involving Gilbert Stein. He has a chance to reunite with his old Liberl partners onboard the Pantagruel and helps fend off the boarders when the Glorious attacks.
Agate is then called away to Leman State and the Bracer HQ, doubtless for the need to plan for the bracers' role in Operation Mille Mirage. He also helps in the plan to scale Orchis Tower and disable the barrier generator. Agate is also part of the mission to clear Gilbert out of the Eryn Village when he starts testing F. Novartis' inventions.
In the Overture at Mishelam Wonderland, Agate spends the time with Tita. They are both part of the same team that attacks one of the five fake salt pales around the Empire, but return to the Tuatha De Danann for the final battle.
Trails into Reverie[]
Agate feels bad about his failure to prevent Tita getting caught up in the conflicts in Erebonia and cooperates with Erika's plan to test Tita to get to return to Liberl. Erika cannot resist attacking him from her remote piloted archaism, even when they are supposed to be working together. Nevertheless, they are defeated and Tita convinces them both to let her stay and complete her education.
Agate accompanies Erika and Tita to Crossbell, acting as a research assistant. When Supreme Leader Rufus Albarea takes over and the Black Guard seize Erika, he is bidden to look after Tita at all costs. He ends up joining Lloyd Bannings's team with Tita to try and find Erika at the Reinford Arsenal which has been taken over by Dr. Novartis. He is scolded by Erika for bringing Tita.
Agate is part of the final battle against Elysium and the Retributive Tower.

Agate joins Sora's team with his friends, especially as he becomes a student of a hero with his friends, especially as he is an enemy of several villains.
